It is essential to exfoliate regularly if you want clear, radiant skin. Exfoliating involves removing all your dead skin cells and additional toxins in order to expose the new, healthy skin underneath. And this isn’t limited to your face, exfoliating from head to toe is important before applying any tanning product or waxing to achieve the best results. The experts advise exfoliating and moisturising your skin regularly after shaving or waxing to help reduce the occurrence of ingrown hairs. We recommend exfoliating once a month as your skin renews itself every 30 days. If you leave the old cells on the surface of your skin and they build up over time, they can lead to a flat, dull appearance and blemishes.
There are many exfoliating tools out there, but there a few essential things that you will need in order to exfoliate your skin. We recommend buying a loofah, a back brush, pumice stone, exfoliating body wash and a lightweight moisturiser. The first thing you need to do is take your dry loofah and rub it over your skin. Then hop in the shower and use your pumice stone all over your body starting with your feet to rub away all the dead skin cells. Apply your exfoliating body wash in a circular motion all over your body and use the loofah again to ensure you have removed every bit of dead skin. Use the back brush to get all those hard to reach areas on your back. Make sure you rinse off the body wash and dead skin with lukewarm water as hot water could hurt your new, delicate skin. After your shower, apply a moisturising body lotion all over.
